Review - Willett Pot Still Reserve Bourbon
Consider this whiskey as a gift option for your discerning bourbon drinker. The bottle sat on my shelf for over a year before I drew it down and cracked the cork. I simply didn’t want to ruin the aesthetic of the artsy bottle. I’m glad I did because Willett Pot Still Reserve is a memorable spirit.
The nose is sweet and floral of hibiscus and clover honey. The palate repeats the sweetness and floral notes, but adds rye, grass and cardboard notes to every sip. The mouth feel is oily and the finish is slightly bitter as the spirit pops you in the mouth with a typical bourbon burn.
The unique artisan bottle and subtle flavor profile make this a well-crafted drink that is sure to please any bourbon enthusiast.
